Minigolf World - Skill Building Sports Game
Students play challenging rounds of minigolf by controlling the angle and power of their shots. The game requires students to plan shots carefully, using strategy and spatial reasoning to navigate obstacles, angles, and slopes on the course.
- Grade Levels: grades 3+
- Skills Developed: spatial reasoning, precision and control, strategic thinking, patience, and focus
- Standards Addressed:
ISTE Standards for Computational Thinking - develop problem solving and planning skills by testing different shot strategies and refining techniques to complete each hole efficiently
- Classroom Use:
STEM Integration - use the game to introduce concepts of angles, force, and trajectory, discussing how these factors influence the golf ball’s movement
Reflection Activity - students reflect on their shot strategies, discussing what worked well and how they adjusted to each hole’s unique challenges
